Whereas the undisputed kings of Irish Hip-Hop in the South-West have heavy boom-bap influence- and as Dublin develops its own safe cocktail of Mark McCabe and OF inspired Hip-Hop- it is refreshing to hear that NRTHRD is pulling moreso from a distinct and diverse range of lumbering, ambient and digital sounds which are more in line with Nu-Jazz production, popularised by Fly-Lo and other LA luminaries
Along with the rich Drill scene this could put Drogheda on the map!
